GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP

POP CAVEN is looking for a passionate hard-working intern with exceptional creative and design skills. We are looking for someone who can bring their own personality and that can work independently and multitask.

Intern will be working next to the creative directors and will get hands on experience immediately as well as insight into many aspects of a fashion company including design, production, and business. This is a great opportunity to learn and have a lot of fun. This internship will be to develop our upcoming collections, collaborations and update our offerings on our e-commerce store.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Illustrator
  • Excellence in typography, color, imagery and layout skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self motivated and able to multitask
  • Background/Experience in Fashion Design
  • Knowledge of streetwear and current trends
  • Thorough knowledge of art and design with clear understanding of visual design or any design related environment
  • Sense of humor!
  • Based in the DMV (metro area)

Responsibilities

  • Understanding Pop Caven's brand history and current positioning
  • Understanding marketplace (streetwear/urban) history, consumer, and current positioning
  • Understanding design concepts and thinking conceptually and creatively
  • Ability to create designs that meet category needs and commercial opportunities
  • Understanding color and material trends, application, and cycles
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with key business partners
  • Ability to design for new initiatives and product selections with a fresh, innovative & on brand perspective
  • Assembling linesheets

SOCIAL MEDIA & INFLUENCER MARKETING INTERN

POP CAVEN is seeking a social media & influencer marketing intern. Candidates should be hardworking creatives with a strong interest in Fashion, design trends, pop culture, lifestyle & digital marketing. This internship will allow you to work in an intimate style collaborative start up environment. You will gain real-world, hands-on experience helping to grow an up-and-coming lifestyle brand, spearheading PR campaigns and developing marketing plans. It is an amazing opportunity to build your skill set and resume and work within an amazing company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Create a social media presence for brand on all social media platforms
  • Create digital campaigns to drive impressions, word of mouth buzz, and social media presence - Produce creative marketing initiatives
  • Design engaging content for multimedia campaigns including materials, video promotions, web promotions, social media marketing
  • Connect with fashion blogger influencers on all Social Media outlets
  • Develop innovative and creative media content across social media platforms in line with brand and long term goals
  • Drive awareness and accelerate rapid growth of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube
  • Engage social media influencers and identify key partners on targeted platforms
  • Utilize social media to establish and engage with talent community
  • Day-to-day maintenance of social media profiles across various platform
  • Content development for various accounts and audiences
  • Design, articulate and execute on communication strategies
  • Familiarity with SEO and new social media platforms as well as reporting results.
  • Enhance visibility/positive image as well as the reputation of talent
  • Research artists, music festivals, trade shows, brands and various organizations and opportunities to improve the lifestyle digital marketing of Pop Caven.

Requirements

  • Degree or working towards degree in marketing, PR or equal relevant work experience - Working knowledge of all relevant social media platforms including; YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and snapshot - Ability to produce, present, and execute creative marketing strategies
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Photoshop elements, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere.
  • Passion for the fashion/lifestyle industry a must - Passion for social media a must
  • Creative and independent thinker and worker
  • Experience with digital media, social media, branding, influencer outreach, blogging/vlogging, public relations experience
  • Ability to think strategically about how ideas are presented and structured
  • Aptitude for visual narrative storytelling
  • Strong track record in achieving goals with outstanding execution and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity
  • Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast-paced, creative environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively independently and in collaborative team environments
  • Hands-on, consistently completes tasks, dependable, and proactive
  • Full understanding of appropriate next steps
